- The City of McKinney has taken its COVID-19 dashboard offline due to "fluctuating case numbers." Residents seeking the latest updates on Collin County caseloads are being redirected to the state's website. As one city spokesperson said, "Since COVID-19 is now widespread and travel and normal activities have resumed, city-level data is no longer viewed as a useful decision-making tool." - McKinney ISD was well-represented on signing day for colleges across the country this week. The school district had at least one student-athlete from all three of its high schools ink a letter of intent to play for a college football team. In total, six McKinney players committed to schools both near and far, from the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University to Davidson College and the University of Louisiana.
