- Medical City McKinney has opened up its $64 million patient tower and its ER has nearly doubled in size. The ER expansion includes nine emergency treatment rooms, three trauma rooms, an imaging room, and a new CT scanner. The third floor of the tower is adding 24 private patient rooms, an orthopedic gym, and a lounge. (D Healthcare Daily)
- Republican primary candidate Kade Wilcox says he will vote to ban abortion in Texas if Roe v. Wade is overturned. Wilcox also discussed issues of property tax reform and tax-payer-funded lobbying on The Chad Hasty Show on Tuesday Night. Early voting for the March 1st primary begins on February 14th. - The Texas Department of Licensing filed five new commercial development projects coming to McKinney. New developments include Springstone McKinney Hospital on University Drive and Diesel Barber Shop Hub 121 on Alma Rd. The full list of renovations, costs, and timelines are subject to change.
