- A McKinney mother delivers a healthy baby during months long battle with COVID-19. Ariel Romero was in the intensive care unit at Medical City McKinney for 62 days while pregnant with the child. Baby Josie was delivered on Christmas Day. (WFAA.com)
- Dave Lanciault, the CEO of Frisco-based Agricen Sciences, has been recognized for his work in biostimulants used to increase agricultural harvest's yield. Agricen supports agricultural clients in varying climate conditions across the globe. - A Frisco hospice owner has been sentenced to thirteen years in prison and fined $27.6 million in a fraud case. Brad Harris, founder of Novus Health Services in Frisco, was charged during a massive FBI investigation that found he sought to defraud the government for $60 million. According to court documents, Harris instructed nurses to inject patients with morphine in an effort to hasten their deaths when they were no longer deemed profitable for the company.
