1. A new redistricting proposal could change North Texas representation on the state and federal levels of government. One proposed redistricting includes a change to District 67, represented by Rep. Jeff Leach. If approved, the new district map would include slightly less land in Leach's hometown of Plano, but extend to McKinney and other cities northeast of its previous boundaries. 2. Two mosquito pools in Frisco, one in the 12,000 block of Rolater Road, the second in the Stonelake Estates neighborhood, recently tested positive for West Nile Virus (WNV). The city sent contractors out to ground spray on Oct. 1 and 2 in some areas of these neighborhoods, including Fairfield Estates, Shepherds Hill, Plantation Estates, Parkside Estates, and the Lakes of Preston Vineyards.
