  1. Attendance zones have been set up at Frisco Independent School District’s newest schools. The district implemented enrollment changes to keep high schools under 2,100 students, middle schools under 900 students, and elementary schools under 760 students. Frisco ISD’s newest high school, Panther Creek High School, will be home to approximately 841 students in northwest Frisco next year. (Community Impact)
  2. In an effort to make city information easier to find, the city of McKinney’s website got an upgrade this week. The update, which took place on Tuesday, comes after the website was last updated in 2016, a move that resulted in the city’s website serving as a role model for county and municipal websites across the country. The new website design includes a more similar user experience on both mobile and desktop devices, and link boxes that provide an overview of menu options without collapsing in a mobile format.   3. After opening a temporary facility at the McKinney National Airport earlier this fall, Cirrus Aircraft will break ground on a $9 million expansion in the first quarter of 2022. (Community Impact)

  5. On Monday, Collin County Commissioners unanimously approved a program that will allow LifePath Systems to have Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) at the Collin County Detention facility 24/7. (Star Local Media)
