  1. Following Board action, attendance zones for the Frisco 2022-2023 school year have been set. The new zones help balance enrollment and resources for existing schools while preparing for new campuses. Emails have been sent out to families who will be impacted by the new zones.   2. The McKinney National Airport earns coveted Gateway Airport designation for TSA-approved Aircraft Operators. The new designation allows the McKinney National Airport to act as the last point of departure for corporate and private charters for the highly secured Washington, D.C. area.   3. 121 Media, LLC has recently acquired Star Local Media's family of hyper-local newspapers, including the McKinney Courier-Gazette. The Media LLC acquired fourteen weekly newspapers and their associated digital assets in a deal that gained them over 750,000 readers. New owners Rick and Elizabeth Rogers are Frisco residents.
