Here are the top stories in McKinney-Frisco today:

1. Dollar General will build their first official pOpshelf stores in McKinney and San Antonio in 2022, following a successful trial. The new stores are designed by Dollar General for younger, affluent shoppers and those living in the suburbs, and they plan to open 1,000 locations, hopefully by 2025. Each pOpshelf store is expected to create as many as 15 new jobs. (ConsumerAffairs)
2. Main St. and southbound Frisco St. will be closed near Toyota Stadium on Saturday morning, between 6-10 a.m., for the Frosty 5K. In addition, many of the streets within Frisco Square will be closed all day Saturday for the Frosty 5K and Merry Main Street events. A couple roads will also be closed a day earlier on Friday.
