- Frisco ISD cheerleaders earned five Top 20 recognitions at the annual UIL Texas State Spirit Competition in Fort Worth. The School District celebrates the athleticism and artistic ability that was evident throughout out the competition and school year. Each cheer team presented a three-minute performance at the competition that focused on crowd leading, fight songs, and a band chant. (Press Release Desk)
- Frisco headquartered Maverick Fitness donated $60,000 to local nonprofits. Maverick Fitness is the second largest franchisee for Orangetheory Fitness, sporting 34 studios. - The Dollar General chain is premiering a new shopping spinoff called Popshelf in the McKinney area. The new store will be located at 2821 Craig Dr. #100 in the former Pier One location. Popshelf will offer items at the five dollar price point which is slightly more expensive than the one dollar price point the Dollar General chain is known for. (CultureMap Dallas)
