- Frisco ISD Project SEARCH interns are benefitting from expanded student opportunities thanks to a partnership with Embassy Suites. Each year, about a dozen Frisco ISD students aged 18 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities are selected to participate in Project SEARCH. Project SEARCH is a program that combines instruction, career exploration, and hands-on training at a community work site. (Press Release Desk)
- A request to rezone about 20 acres to allow for multifamily and commercial uses at US 380 just west of Hardin Boulevard in McKinney was approved by the McKinney Planning & Zoning Commission on Sept. 28. The project will dedicate about 9 acres to retail and office space that will front US 380, and the remaining acres would be developed as multifamily housing on the rear portion of the property, city staff said. This project will help support the development taking shape at the four corners of the Hardin and US 380 intersection. (Community Impact)
