Here are the top stories today in McKinney-Frisco:
- Ross Cemetery is tucked in a corner of southeast McKinney. Some of McKinney's noted educators, veterans, and city leaders are buried there. Now, the Texas Historical Commission has designated it a Historic Texas Cemetery. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Sulphur Springs Police officers stopped a vehicle at 6:56 p.m. on Interstate 30 east near mile marker 122 (Hillcrest Drive exit) for speeding. Upon contact, police obtained out-of-state identification for both the driver and passenger in the vehicle. A records check showed an active emergency protective order listing the passenger in the vehicle as the protected person the 27-year-old Frisco man is not supposed to contact, police alleged in arrest reports.
