  2. PGA Frisco has been recognized as the new "Silicon Valley of Golf." The PGA’s new megaplex golf facility is still under construction and will be opened in full in Jun. 2022. Frisco officials estimate a $2.5 billion economic impact from the project over the next twenty years. (Local Profile)
  3. McKinney-based BALANCED Media|Technology announces a patent-pending medical imaging technology that can identify ocular diseases. The patent uses automated software and a video game to provide standardized, accurate, and precise identification of diseases such as macular degeneration. The research was supported by a $2.5 million grant award from the W. W. Caruth, Jr. Foundation at Communities Foundation of Texas. This new patent could help identify the leading cause of visual impairment in the world. (EurekAlert)
