The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in McKinney-Frisco.

Hey, people of McKinney-Frisco! Nicole Tess Kazora here with the latest copy of the McKinney-Frisco Daily.

First, today's weather:

Partly sunny. High: 72 Low: 48.

Here are the top three stories in McKinney-Frisco today:

  1. The Republican primary race for State House took a bizarre turn this week, with one candidate accusing the other of an elaborate scheme to steal lawn signs. Candidate Paul Chabot says his opponent, former McKinney City Councilman Frederick Frazier, impersonated a building inspector as a pretext for removing the signs. (Rolling Stone)
  2. If you saw a horrible car wreck near Lebanon Trail High School yesterday, there's no cause for alarm: The Frisco Police Department and its partners staged a fake accident during Shattered Dreams, a two-day event designed to educate local youth about the dangers of impaired driving. The event will be held again at Independence High School from Apr. 28 to 29. (Star Local Media)
  3. This week, Frisco civic and cultural leaders traveled to Cary, North Carolina for an exchange program organized by the local Chambers of Commerce. Their tours could lead to innovation on Frisco's streets. (Star Local Media)
