Xplor Students Donate 50 Gifts for Local Children in Need

Students held a toy drive in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program

Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care in Allen and on Stonebridge Drive in McKinney recently donated more than 50 gifts they collected for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. Over the past month, students worked together to collect a variety of gifts for children of all ages. Once the toy drive wrapped up, school-age students loaded the donations onto a bus for delivery to the Allen Event Center, one of FOX 4’s Toys for Tots collection sites. The gifts will be distributed to children in need in the Dallas area. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community.

Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime.
