• Police stop armed parent during mental health crisis at Mesquite school – [your]NEWS (yournews.com) — An armed parent was arrested Tuesday morning after bringing a handgun onto Berry Middle School's Mesquite campus, where a school resource officer stopped them before they passed the second set of locked doors. Mesquite police placed the school on lockdown and SECURE mode while officers removed the weapon and took the parent into custody on a weapons charge, with no injuries reported.
