• $35 million expansion increases SunOpta's capacity (dairyprocessing.com) — SunOpta has invested about $35 million to add a fourth production line at its Midlothian beverage plant, boosting the facility's capacity by roughly 10%. The expanded operation, which opened in 2023, will produce more plant-based milks, creamers, teas, and broths in several popular package sizes to meet growing demand.
• After Eight Years, 'The Chosen' Has Filmed Its Final Scene (relevantmagazine.com) — Filming of the final season of "The Chosen" has wrapped in Midlothian, where the production has used Camp Hoblitzelle as its main set since Season 3. Creator Dallas Jenkins even moved his family to town, as the series grew from a crowdfunded pilot into a global hit reaching hundreds of millions of viewers.
