Click It Or Ticket Campaign Begins This Week
With Memorial Day weekend coming up, the police are urging drivers and passengers to buckle their seatbelts before hitting the road.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Police Department, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety and other police departments across the state, is reminding motorists that if you plan to get out on the roadways this Memorial Day holiday, please remember to buckle up.
The Texas Click It or Ticket Campaign began Monday and runs through June 4. State law requires everyone in a vehicle, including back seat passengers, to buckle up or face fines and court costs of up to $200.
Children younger than eight years old must be in a child safety seat or booster seat unless they are taller than four feet 9 inches. Improperly restrained children could mean a fine of up to $250 plus court costs.
