Super Bowl LI Concession Prices Were Fit For Kings and VIPs
Fans paid $11 for a soda and $15 for 'bottomless' popcorn: so much for city's low cost of living (but Texans fans don't get off easy either)

The fans have left the stadium, leaving behind memories of an epic comeback and a record five wins for a quarterback (his name's Tom Brady, if you didn't know). By all accounts, everything related to Super Bowl 51 was a smashing success, which should make local government finance officials very happy.
Same goes for whoever shared in the profits from concession sales during the big game at NRG Stadium.
Would you pay $12 for an "artisan three cheese" pretzel? How about lemonade spiked with a double shot for $30, or a premium beer for $14? Frozen margaritas were selling for $18, and premium beer went for $14. During the regular season, the same items sold for $14 and $12, respectively, at NRG Stadium, so it wasn’t as if fans at Texans games weren’t getting soaked as well, just not quite as shamelessly.
