UHD : Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month Through Campus Art

National Hispanic Heritage Month runs through Oct. 15, and the University of Houston-Downtown is hosting events reflecting on Latinx culture, history, literature, music and more. Every day, however, Gators can experience art celebrating the University's Latinx population and showcasing groundbreaking artists from across the nation. The video above spotlights just some of the works donated to UHD by Drs. Hariett and Ricardo Romo. Also in the video spotlight is the student-created "Aztek Revival," a mural that interweaves Mesoamerican imagery with scenes from campus life.
