• Paris ISD Celebrates Start With Hello Week Across the District (myparistexas.com) — Students across Paris ISD spent Start With Hello Week practicing simple ways to make classmates feel more included, from friendly greetings to acts of kindness. Paris High athletes and Paris Junior College players joined younger Wildcats for energetic morning welcomes, reinforcing a districtwide message that small gestures like a smile or hello can strengthen school community and belonging.
• Paris High School Senior Earns National Recognition in Genes in Space Competition (myparistexas.com) — A Paris High School senior, Arjan Khadka, has earned national recognition with an Honorable Mention in the 2026 Genes in Space competition for a project on protecting astronauts' DNA from deep-space radiation. Working with a Georgia classmate, he designed an experiment that could be tested on the International Space Station, showcasing how Paris students can contribute to cutting-edge space research.
• TxDOT Paris Roadwork For September 27 (easttexasradio.com) — Drivers in Paris should prepare for lane and shoulder closures this week on BU 271B, Bonham Street, North Main Street, and US 82 from Loop 286 as TxDOT crews add sidewalks, widen pavement, and improve drainage. Additional projects across Lamar, Delta, Red River, Hunt, and nearby counties may cause delays, so motorists are urged to slow down, follow detours, and watch for workers in active work zones.
