• Paris Police Reports October 2, 2026 (myparistexas.com) — Paris Police report that just before 2 a.m. Friday, officers stopped a man riding an electric scooter on SE 12th Street after he ran a stop sign and say they recovered suspected methamphetamine he tried to hide. The man was arrested on felony drug possession and evidence-tampering charges and taken to jail. During this period, officers also made 39 traffic stops, three adult arrests, and handled 73 service calls.
   

• Hope teen now charged with capital murder, stalking in July shooting that killed Paris, Texas, man (txktoday.com) — A Paris man was killed in a July shooting in Hope, Arkansas, and prosecutors have now upgraded the charges against the 19-year-old suspect to capital murder, stalking, and first-degree battery. Court records describe allegations of ongoing stalking of a juvenile girl who was also shot but survived. The suspect remains presumed innocent while the case moves through Hempstead County court.
