Army Recruiter Accused Of Sending Naked Picture To Student
Adam Matthew Perkins, 37, is accused of sending photos of his penis to a 16-year old Deer Park student over Snapchat.

DEER PARK, TX — A U.S. Army recruiter accused of sending illicit Snapchat photos of his genitals to a 16-year old girl turned himself into police.
Adam Matthew Perkins, 37, was in court on Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest by the Deer Park Police Department.
Perkins is charged with displaying harmful material to a minor, which is a misdemeanor charge.

Investigators said Perkins met the student while recruiting during a fundraiser in December.
The girl alleged that Perkins gave her a $20 donation and encouraged her to take an Army pre-test through the Snapchat application and exchanged contact information via Snapchat, KPRC reported.

Shortly after they exchanged Snapchat information, Perkins allegedly sent the girl a photo of his genitals.
Police said they confronted Perkins about the photo, and that he initially denied the allegation, only to admit later he'd sent it by mistake.
Perkins, who is currently free on $1,000 bail, faces a year in jail if he is convicted.
