Authorities Continue Searching For Missing Baytown Teen

Missing Teen Last Seen Leaving Lee High School On Feb. 9 After Missing Her School Bus Home.

BAYTOWN, TX -- Officials in Baytown are searching for a missing 17-year old girl who hasn’t been seen or heard from since Feb. 9.

Vanessa Macias, who is a student at Robert E. Lee High School, reportedly called home Tuesday afternoon after the family said she had a disagreement with a teacher at the school and missed her bus.

Since then, Macias, who reportedly suffers from thyroid and mental health issues, has been seen on video surveillance several times.

On Saturday, Texas EquuSearch set a command post at Lee High School and searched nearby on ATV’s, and suspended the search for her at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday until they could coordinate a better search location for the missing girl.

That search resumed on Monday morning and was expanded to include nearby Dayton and Crosby, and the school has also issued a plea to students to please let them know if they know where she is, or if they have seen the girl.

Macias is an Hispanic female, who is about 5-feet 2-inches tall, and weighs about 120 pounds with long brown hair past her shoulders.

She was last seen wearing a light blue, short-sleeved shirt - under another light blue, long-sleeved shirt. She was also wearing blue jeans and white Vans tennis shoes.
