Bay City Teacher Caught With 13-Year Old Student Is Arrested

Rachel Gonzalez, 44, was arrested and charged with online solicitation and improper relationship after the victims father caught them

BAY CITY, TX — A Bay City High School teacher was arrested after she was caught in the backseat of a car with a 13-year old student.

Police arrested 44-year old Rachel Gonzalez on Dec. 22, several days after the child’s father caught them in the backseat of her car.

Bay City ISD Police were called on Dec. 14, by the child’s father who saw Gonzalez in the backseat with his child, while the car was parked in the 5200 block of Oak Manor.

The next Bay City ISD Police handed the case over to the Bay City Police, who began their investigation and obtained a search warrant for the victim’s cell phone where they found evidence of an improper relationship, KHOU reported..

Several days later, police arrested Gonzalez and took her to the Matagorda County Jail where she was charged with online solicitation of a minor and improper relationship between a teacher and student, according to KPRC.

Gonzalez is currently free on bond.
