Baytown Police Investigate Thefts From Home Depot
Police are investigating three theft cases resulting in the loss in more than $7,000 in power tools since May 10.

BAYTOWN, TX — Baytown Police are investigating several theft reports from a Home Depot store on Garth Road, resulting in a loss of more than $7,000.
In each of the thefts, officials said power tools were taken from the store, each time by different individuals who were caught on store surveillance. (Want to get daily updates about traffic news and other events going on in your area? Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.)
On May 10, a man was seen on store surveillance video making off with $3,100 in Volt Max Cordless Power tools.

The theft was reported to police that same day, the Houston Chronicle reported.
On June 6, two men stole $2,289 worth of DeWalt Power tools, and four days later, two other men were caught on camera leaving the store with Milwaukee power tools valued at more than $1,600.

The cases in June were reported after store security reviewed video.
Police investigators believe all of the cases are related because of what was taken.
