Student Arrested After Online Threat To Sam Rayburn High School

A Pasadena ISD student was arrested after allegedly making a threat toward Sam Rayburn High School Monday morning on Snapchat.

PASADENA — A Pasadena ISD student was arrested by Pasadena ISD police Monday morning after allegedly making a threat on Snapchat directed at Sam Rayburn High School, officials said.

The student, who has not yet been ideitified, has been charged with making a terroristic threat, which is a third degree felony.

According to a press release from Pasadena ISD, the district's police department were notified about the threat early Monday and immediately began their investigation.

The student was quickly arrested.

Officials have not said if the student attends Sam Rayburn High School.

A a precaution, additional personnel and Pasadena ISD police officers were sent tothe campus Monday, officials said.
