Child Hit By School Bus In Baytown

A 10-year old boy was injured when he ran in front of a school bus and was hit Wednesday evening.

BAYTOWN, TX — A 10-year old was injured when he was hit by a Goose Creek ISD school bus.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Squire Drive, near Castleview Drive.

Officials said the boy was playing with a neighborhood friend when he darted in front of the bus.

Goose Creek ISD said there were about 20 students on the bus at the time of the accident.

The boy was taking by EMS to an area hospital, but didn’t appear to suffer any life threatening injuries, KTRK reported.

The incident is under investigation.
