Fatal Accident On I-45 Blamed On Icy Roads
A Houston man was hit by an SUV after his pickup hit a concrete barrier and became disabled on I-45 Tuesday night.
PASADENA TX — Slick roads are believed to have caused a traffic accident that claimed the life of a man on Tuesday night.
The accident happened just before 8 p.m. on Interstate 45 and Dixie Farm Road, when the driver of a GMC Sierra lost control and hit the concrete barrier.
Investigators said the man got out to check the damage to his disabled pick, and as he was walking alongside his pickup, a Chevy Tahoe lost control on the ice and hit the man, killing him.

The driver of the Chevy Tahoe remained at the scene of the accident, but the pedestrian, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
Charges have not been filed against the driver, but the case is under investigation.
