FRIENDSWOOD, TX -- Friendswood Police are trying to determine who poisoned several dogs at a doggy daycare with pellets of rat poison on Wednesday.
"Somebody took time to do this. They took a lot of time to do this. They stood there and they threw and they threw," Rene McLaughlin, who own Gimmie a Bark Dog Daycare told KPRC.
She believes that sometime late Tuesday, or early Wednesday that someone walked along the chainlink fence at the Gimmie a Bark Dog Daycare in the 100 block of Shadwell Lane, and tossed green rat poison pellets over the fence into the yard.

Bruce Prichard's dogs, Rowdy and Wally were at the daycare Wednesday morning, and were let out in the yard to play.
"Several people dropped their dogs off, and they were out walking the yard and they noticed that some of the dogs were eating a green substance that was on the ground," Prichard told KPRC.

The substance turned out to be rat poison.
McLaughlin said four dogs ate the poison, including Rowdy and Wally, and all of the dogs were immediately taken to the animal hospital across the street from the daycare for treatment.
The pellets have since been removed from the yard, she said.
A police report has been filed, and security cameras are being installed along the perimeter of the back yard to ensure this, or other incidents don't happen again.
