DWI Probation Is Revoked For Pasadena’s Convention Center Director

PASADENA, TX — The director of the Pasadena Convention Center is behind bars after a judge revoked his probation after failing to submit to alcohol testing, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

Jordy Tollett, who was on probation after being arrested twice for DWI in 2015, is in the Harris County Jail after court records indicated that he failed to submit to drug and alcohol testing on four occasions in May and June 2016, the Chronicle reported. Tollett’s two DWI arrests happened two months apart with the first of these in March 2015 after a car accident in Webster, followed by a second arrest in May 2015, in Nassau Bay after a witness called 911 after Tollett nearly ran over a family walking on a sidewalk.

Both of those arrests were felony arrests, according to a KPRC report.

Tollett has three other DWI convictions on his record dating back to at least 2001.

In 2012, Tollett was arrested in Nassau Bay for DWI — his second arrest — when an off-duty police officer saw him driving erratically in the 1000 block of NASA Parkway, hitting the curb as he left a parking lot.

When the officer tried to pull Tollett over, he kept driving until he arrived home, according to a report in the Pasadena Citizen.

When the police officer tried to give Tollett a field sobriety test, he refused and had to be handcuffed,and was taken to the Galveston County Jail.

Tollett could face a judge as early as Friday.
