La Porte Man Stabbed Outside Pasadena Bar

Suspect allegedly assaulted woman inside the bar, and became angry when stranger intervened and bouncer forced him to leave.

PASADENA, TX -- A La Porte man was stabbed to death during a fight outside of a Pasadena bar on Sunday night.

The stabbing happened at Daddy O’s near Spencer Highway and Beltway 8.

According to Pasadena police, a bouncer at the bar had removed the suspect, identified as Michael Loya, 25, after witnesses said he assaulted a woman inside the bar.

Daniel McClain, who saw the incident with the woman intervened, according to McClain’s cousin.

Police said that Loya and McCalin began fighting outside the bar in the parking lot and that during the fight, Loya pulled out a knife and stabbed McClain in the chest, back and neck.

McClain was taken to Bayshore Hospital, where he died, police said.

Loya was arrested and charged with murder.

He was later released from jail on $50,000 bond.
