La Porte Officer Shoots Suspect While Serving Warrant in Pasadena
Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting involving a La Porte police detective.
PASADENA, TX — The Pasadena police and the La Porte police are investigating a shooting involving a La Porte police detective at a gas station Monday morning.
The shooting was reported about 11 a.m. near the intersection of Red Bluff Road and Pasadena Blvd.
Officials said the La Porte police detective, who was in plain clothes, was serving a warrant at that location for a probation violation, when the detective fired several shots and wounded the suspect.

The suspect was taken to Bayshore Medical Center, but his condition is unknown.
The officer was not hurt.

Investigators have not said why the detective fired his weapon.
The incident is under investigation.
