Make It A Valentine’s Day To Remember: Traditional, And Not So Traditional Events Near Pasadena
Music, Painting, Nature Strolling, Gumbo Eating and the all important Undie Run are on tap for Valentine's weekend.
HOUSTON, TX -- Valentine’s Day is literally around the corner, and if you haven’t made that dinner reservation, or maybe want to do something a little bit different, you may have some of the best luck surprising the love of your life this Valentine’s Day if you check out some of these different options:
- MUSIC LOVERS: If you’re in the mood to dance, check out the Valentine’s Day Music Festival at NRG arena. Artists like Keith Sweat, El Debarge, and Bobby Brown. The show starts at 7 p.m. on Feb. 14, and tickets start at $52 each. For more information, call (832) 667-1400.
- ###liValentine’s Day Painting Party at Southern Star Brewery. Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 6-9 p.m. come on out with your sweetheart and do something a little bit different. Cost per couple is $90. For more information click here.
- NATURE LOVING: Tapas on the Trails at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center | Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb 11, from 5-9 p.m. Stroll through the Arboretum’s nature sanctuary enjoying five tapas stations with wine and beer pairings along the way. Admission available for members and non-members ranging from $75 to $85.
- GOOD EATING: Gumbo Smackdown at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, Feb. 11 – Houstonia Magazine hosts the 4th annual Gumbo Smackdown where teams will compete to see who makes the best gumbo in the city. It’s gonna be lip smackin good, y’all. Tickets are $35 for early bird passes and $45 at the door. Click here for more information.
- A LITTLE SOMETHING DIFFERENT: Go ahead and strip down to your skivvies for Cupid’s Undie Run at Dogwood Houston. From Noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 – Strip down to your sexiest undies and run through Midtown and help raise money for a good cause in this wildly popular Valentine’s-themed event. Undie runners should register here. Don’t be shy.
