Man Charged With Capital Murder In 2016 Mother's Day Killing
Byron Lloyd Collins, 29, is charged with capital murder for stabbing Nataliya Shal to death on Mother's Day 2016.
BAYTOWN, TX — Police have arrested a man they say brutally murdered a 50-year old woman on Mother’s Day in 2016.
Baytown Police arrested Byron Lloyd Collins, 29, and charged him with capital murder in the stabbing death of Nataliya Shal in May 2016.
Police found Shal stabbed to death in her home in the 300 block of West Baker Street on May 8, during a welfare check that was called in by her husband who was out of town and unable to reach her by phone.

Investigators said Collins stabbed Shal to death while sexually assaulting her.
He is being held in the Harris County Jail without bond.
