Man Sends Pornographic Emails To La Porte ISD School Board Members
Board members receive an email with 17 videos and 25 photos of a 19-year old woman the man wanted to embarrass.
LA PORTE, TX -- An 18-year old man is behind bars after police said he sent sexually explicit video and photos of a La Porte High School student to members of the district’s board of trustees.
Darius Jay Mitchell, 18, was arrested and charged with improper photography or visual recording, according to police.
Investigators said that the seven members of the La Porte ISD board of trustees received a sexually explicit email from Mitchell on Nov. 13, that had La Porte ISD student in the subject line.
The email allegedly contained 17 videos and 25 photographs that were sexually explicit or pornographic of of a 19-year old woman.
Investigators spoke with the woman, who is a student, who claimed the images and videos were recorded with her consent and that she was of legal age at the time the images were recorded.
The woman told investigators that Mitchell had also added those images to her Facebook page, but they’d since been removed.
In an interview with police, Mitchell said he sent the emails to the board members to embarrass the 19-year old woman.
