Man Is Shot Fighting Off Robbery Attempt
Police said two men trying to rob Shell convenience store, shoot clerk several times.

BAYTOWN, TX -- Police are looking for two men who allegedly shot a store clerk during an armed robbery attempt Sunday morning.
The shooting was reported at a Shell Convenience store in the 2900 block of Market Street at about 11 a.m., when police responding to a report of a robbery arrived and found the clerk had been shot several times. Sign up for the free Houston Patch morning newsletter.
The clerk told police that a man came into the store, bought something and then left, driving away in silver Chevrolet Malibu.

A short time later, the same car is seen on surveillance video coming back to the store, with the same driver, and two passengers.
Police said thetwo men came into the store and began pointing their guns at the clerk, demanding money.

One of the men watched the front door, while the other jumped over the counter.
Police said the clerk fought back and was shot by both robbery suspects.
Both men fled the area, and it’s not known if they got away with any cash from the store.
The store clerk was taken by Life Flight to Texas Medical Center and is in stable condition, police said.
The two armed men were believed to be around 5 feet 10 inches tall. One weighed around 200 pounds and was wearing a gray hoodie, baggy shorts and a red hat.
The second man weighed around 250 pounds and was wearing a white hoodie, dark shorts and a black mask covering his face.
