Pasadena Shooting Suspect Caught: Police Give All Clear To PISD

Pasadena PD exchange fire with a robbery suspect, prompting search near three Pasadena schools.

PASADENA, TX — Pasadena Police have given the all clear and allowed students onto three Pasadena ISD campuses.

The all clear was given at about 7:40 a.m., after police announced the suspected armed robber had been caught, ending a manhunt that began several hours earlier.

Pasadena PD and the Pasadena Independent School District urged parents and students to avoid the area around Pasadena Memorial High School, Bondy Intermediate, and Turner Elementary as police searched for an armed robbery suspect.

The incident began at about 4 a.m. Monday as police were pursing an armed robbery suspect from the Walmart store in the 5200 block of Fairmont Parkway.

Police were searching for the suspect in the area of Fairmont Parkway and Vista.

Pasadena ISD posted an alert on the district Facebook page, urging parents to drop off their children off at the Phillips Field House at Burke Road and Dabney Drive, where buses will pick up students and take them to school when the all clear signal is given by police.
