Thirty Pasadena ISD high school seniors have been selected as the Vanguard Community Service award recipients for the 2019-2020 school year.

The honorees were selected for accumulating 300 hours or more of volunteer work in the community and in surrounding areas.
“These Vanguard students truly are making a difference and setting a precedent for future students to follow,” said Dr. DeeAnn Powell, superintendent of schools.

Traditionally, the district holds an event to honor these students but in an effort to maintain social distancing practices, this year’s Vanguard students will get to share their volunteer stories on the global social media platform with a spotlight video.
