Pasadena ISD Officer Charged With Domestic Assault

PASADENA, TX — The Pasadena Independent School District is investigating after one of the district’s police officers was arrested over the weekend.

Arnold Magana, 45, was arrested Saturday by Pearland Police and charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly choking a family member during an argument.

Magana has been a district police officer since 1993, and a sergeant since 2010, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Pasadena ISD released the following statement:

"Pasadena ISD is currently investigating the arrest of a Pasadena ISD Police Officer for an alleged domestic incident that happened while on personal time. Any action taken in regards to this incident will be in accordance with Pasadena ISD Board Policy."
