Police Officer Kills Man While Searching For Armed Robber
The Galveston County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of a man by a League City Police Officer.

LEAGUE CITY, TX — The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a man by a League City Police Officer.
The shooting happened at about 5:30 pm Tuesday in the 1600 block of Laslina Ln. in League City.
League City Police were called to the CVS store 1200 block of League City Parkway at about 5:20 p.m. for an armed robbery.

When police officers arrived at the store, they found an injured woman inside the store who was able to give police a description.

Police began searching the area for the robbery suspect, which included the nearby neighborhood in Tuscan Lakes.
The officer, who has not been identified, confronted a person matching the robbery suspects description, and the man was shot and killed by the officer.
Police have not released the name or age of the victim, or whether or not he was the robbery suspect.
The shooting remains under investigation.
