Sheriff's Department To Host Citizens Police Academy
The program will be held March 8- May 31 at the South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena.

PASADENA TX — Do you want to be involved in your local law enforcement community?
Residents in southeast Houston and the surrounding area will have the chance in March to see and experience what Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies experience during a 13-week Citizens Police Academy.
The program will be held 7-10 p.m. every Thursday night from March 8- May 31 at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 E. Sam Houston Parkway South in Pasadena.

The program will cover a host of law enforcement topics such as:
- Community Policing
- The Texas Penal Code
- Handcuffing Techniques
- Homicide Investigation
- Detention Operations
- Cold Case
- 911 Communications
- Gangs
- Patrol
- K-9
- Tasers
- Auto Theft
The program is designed to help residents gain a perspective on local law enforcement, and teaches people greater situational awareness
