Two Arrested For Installing Credit Card Skimmer on Gas Pump
Both men face felony charges of unlawful use of a criminal instrument for installing the device to steal credit card numbers

FRIENDSWOOD, TX - Two men were arrested early Monday when they were were caught trying to install a credit card skimming device on a gas pump at a Friendswood gas station, police said.
Police arrested Hector Lorenzo Batista, 18, and Raul Alberto La Rosa Martinez, 21.
Both men face felony charges of unlawful use of a criminal instrument for installing the device
in order to capture credit card numbers of gas station customers.

An off-duty Friendswood police officer said he noticed two men acting suspicious at the Smart Stop gas station on FM 2351.
The officer alerted a Friendswood Police unit who stopped the car the pair were driving afterf they left the gas station.

Police searched the car and found drug paraphernalia, a laptop computer, various types of computer-style wiring and burglary tools.
Police said one of the men also had keys that unlocked the gas pumps.
When the store manager arrived, police removed the skimming device.
Bail was set at $2,000 each.
