Two Friendswood Students Arrested For Having a Gun At School
Police allege boys were fascinated with Columbine shooting, school shootings in general

FRIENDSWOOD, TX -- Two Friendswood High School students were arrested after police said they brought a gun on campus and posted disturbing images of school shootings on social media accounts.
A witness told Friendswood police on on Tuesday that a 14-year-old student allegedly had a handgun hidden inside of a binder that he'd showed to him.
That same day, the boy's uncle reported a gun had been stolen from his home and that he'd last seen it several weeks before.

During the investigation, Friendswood police found photos of the gun on Instagram and traced the gun back to a home in the Polly Ranch subdivision.
Police also found disturbing images and a statement on the Twitter accounts of both teens that indicated the students were fascinated with the Columbine shooting and had a fixation with school shootings in general.

One teen was taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Thursday, and the second teen was taken into custody around 12:15 p.m.
Both are charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon in a weapon-free zone.
They are being held in the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Center in Texas City
