• Rep. Gill Introduces Barron's Law (house.gov) — A new federal proposal called Barron's Law is named for 8-year-old Pilot Point resident Barron Ritchey, who was killed in a 2023 trucking crash near Hillsboro. The bill, introduced by Rep. Brandon Gill, would tighten immigration and licensing rules for commercial truck drivers and increase penalties for companies that knowingly use ineligible drivers.
