2. Lucid Asks Full Fifth Circuit to Revisit Texas Direct-Sales Ban Ruling (eletric-vehicles.com) — Lucid's Plano studio still cannot sell cars directly to Texans after a federal appeals panel upheld the state's ban on manufacturer-owned dealerships, even as two judges expressed serious doubts about the law. The company is asking the full Fifth Circuit to reconsider, a move that could shape how Plano and North Texas residents buy future electric vehicles.
3. 5 arrested connected to Lewisville apartment shooting, police say (wfaa.com) — Lewisville police say five suspects are now in custody for a Sept. 11 targeted shooting, including one adult arrested in Plano and booked into the Lewisville jail. Frisco Counselor Guilty In $26M TRICARE Fraud (dallasexpress.com) — A counselor tied to Acuity TMS of Plano has been convicted in a $26 million TRICARE fraud scheme that prosecutors say targeted service members and veterans with unnecessary or nonexistent treatments. Federal officials allege the Plano-based clinic and others paid kickbacks, falsified records, and misused doctors' identities, leading to about $17 million in improper payments and funding luxury personal spending.
