Plano mayor Henry LaRosiliere said Wednesday afternoon in a press conference he hopes Tom Harrison does the 'honorable thing.'

PLANO, TX — Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere Wednesday called for the immediate resignation of the city councilor who shared a controversial and anti-Islam video on his personal Facebook page. Tom Harrison, who currently holds place 7 on the council, came under fire after for sharing a video that depicted students praying and wearing hijabs.

The video bore the label, "share if you think Trump should ban Islam in American schools."

Several people expressed concern and disappointment on social media, including a woman who wrote, "Plano prides itself on its diversity, and Council Member Tom Harrison’s anti-Muslim, racist sentiment has no place in it. This hate threatens the safety of ALL citizens and is unacceptable. Call on Tom Harrison to resign from office immediately..."
