• Pleasanton adopts budget, tax hike (pleasantonexpress.com) — Pleasanton residents face a new property tax rate of $0.577011 per $100 valuation after the City Council narrowly approved the 2026-27 budget and tax hike on a 4-3 vote. Several council members and residents questioned the city’s financial transparency and suggested using Pleasanton Housing Finance Corp. funds instead, but the mayor and three council members pushed the increase through.
