ā¢ New short-term rental regulations on distance, fees take effect in Richardson (communityimpact.com) ā Richardson has tightened rules on short-term rentals, now requiring new STRs to be at least 500 feet from existing ones and tripling the annual registration fee from $100 to $300. After a 90-day pause on new permits, the city is using new software to track complaints and clustering, while existing registered rentals are grandfathered under the old spacing rules.

ā¢ Lennox Opens 6,000-Square-Foot Commercial HVAC Florida Training Center (contractingbusiness.com) ā Lennox is building a major 18,000-square-foot Commercial HVAC Experience and Training Center near its Richardson headquarters, expanding hands-on training and technology demonstrations for commercial customers. While the new Fort Lauderdale facility focuses on technicians, the Richardson center will help building owners and managers learn how to boost performance and efficiency using emerging HVAC solutions.
