• Round Rock celebrates completion of Old Settlers Boulevard Extension (roundrocktexas.gov) — Drivers in Round Rock's fast-growing northeast area now have a new four-lane Old Settlers Boulevard extension open between North Red Bud Lane and County Road 110, easing east‑west traffic and relieving pressure on U.S. 79. The $23.4 million city‑county project also adds new sidewalks, a shared‑use path, bridges over McNutt Creek, and a signalized crossing at CR 110, with more nearby road and fire station work still underway.
   

• SH 130 and Gattis School Rd may get 'diverging diamond' interchange (kxan.com) — If you drive near SH 130 and Gattis School Road in Round Rock, TxDOT is considering turning that busy intersection into a safer, more efficient diverging diamond interchange and wants your feedback. An in‑person meeting at Cedar Ridge High School will explain the design, including bridge widening, new bypass lanes, and rebuilt ramps, with online comments available for those who can't attend.
