Applications Open For Round Rock Chamber Leadership Programs

ROUND ROCK, TX — Applications are now open for the 2020 Round Rock Chamber leadership programs, Round Rock Chamber of Commerce officials announced Tuesday.

The offerings include Leadership Round Rock and Ascend Emerging Leaders Program., officials said. The mission of Leadership Round Rock is to develop leadership skills in individuals and to promote awareness of issues and opportunities impacting Round Rock, officials explained. It is designed to provide participants with important information about topics such as the area’s history, infrastructure, and educational composition, as well as the significance of involvement in and support for the community.

Eligibility and Selection

Any adult may apply. Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to submit nominations and provide scholarships to employees with community leadership potential. Class size is limited. The Leadership Round Rock Selection Committee reviews applications, and applicants will be notified of their status in November 2019, approximately two months before the program commences in January 2020.

Program Requirements

Participants are required to attend and actively engage in ten full-day sessions that are usually held on the third Wednesday of each month from January through December. Participants are also required to attend the following:

• A mandatory full-day retreat on Jan. 15, 2020.
• Graduation ceremony (to take place December 2020).
• A community service project (approximately 20 volunteer hours).
• Three of the following meetings: Round Rock City Council, Round Rock Independent School District Board, Round Rock Planning and Zoning Commission, Williamson County Commissioner’s Court, Round Rock Chamber Board of Directors.

Cost

Tuition is $1,350 for chamber investors and $1,650 for non-investors. Special pricing is available for Chairman’s Circle, President’s Club, and Classic level investors. See below. Tuition must be paid in full by January 10, 2020. There are no refunds after the class begins.

• Classic (10% discount): $ 1,215.
