Attempted Kidnapping Between Round Rock, Cedar Park Reported
Chody says muscular man with lightning bolt design shaved into side of his head grabbed girl trying to get her into car but she escaped.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A man tried to kidnap a girl in the Brushy Creek on Tuesday evening, according to the Williamson County sheriff.
Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted that the man grabbed the 8-year-old girl by the arm and tried to get her inside his car before the child was able to wrest herself away from his grasp. The incident is said to have happened near community mail boxes in the O'conner/Pocono area near the Avery Ranch subdivision, Chody wrote in one of a series of tweets. The area is between Cedar Park and Round Rock.
Chody said the man estimated to be in his 30s had a short buzz haircut, a lightning bolt design shaved onto the right side of his scalp standing between five feet, ten inches to six feet tall. Chody added the man has a muscular physique and was wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He also sported a black stud earring and a tattoo of unspecified design on his right bicep.

After the unsuccessful kidnapping attempt, the man drove off in what may have been a black Honda CRV with a dent of between three to five inches on the front passenger side of the vehicle. A black-and-orange basketball decal was affixed to the lower corner of the back window, and there was some kind of fuzzy, round decoration hanging from the rear view mirror, according to Chody.
He asked for anyone seeing the vehicle or knows who the would-be kidnapper might be to call 911 or the Williamson County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) at (512) 943-1300.

This is the second time in just over a month that Chody has reported a near-kidnapping of a child in the area with the same level of specificity detailing a suspect description. In early April, Chody described in a tweeted "Creeper Alert" another suspect he said tried kidnapping a child: A blond man in his 20s behind the wheel of a two-door BMW, who, despite wearing long sleeves at the time, was described as sporting a tattoo of a bird on one of his arms. That incident was said to have occurred in the Mayfield subdivision.
But some time later, the "Creeper Alert" was retracted. "Upon further investigation on the alleged child abduction in the Mayfield Ranch area that was reported on April 2nd, the WCSO determined that there was not enough evidence to support the allegations," the updated notice reads. "We now believe the public was not at risk then, nor at risk now."
